In a wide variety of social and economic situations the outcome is arrived at through a process of strategic interaction. Examples include bargaining between labour unions and the management, auctions, democratic elections, and competition between firms. In recent years, considerable progress has been made in the formal analysis of such situations.
This course provides an introduction to the basic concepts of Game Theory and Information Economics. Several applications of these concepts are also discussed.
