Conditional to understanding peoples behaviour in organisations, is knowledge
of the actors cultural context. Given the internationalisation of business and
other organisations, and given the multi-cultural character of Western society,
the study of cultures is becoming increasingly relevant. In this course national
(and religious) cultures will be compared, and their impact on organisational
life will be studied. Besides this, attention will be paid to professional and
organisational cultures, both from a theoretical and research point of view.
