Content

This course gives an overview of the field of development economics. Attention is paid to concepts and theories of development, growth and structural change, the relationship between institutions and economic development, poverty and income distribution, labour markets, the informal sector, capital, savings, international aspects of development, the role of the state, development strategies and development planning, and structural adjustment programmes.
