Objective

Content

The purpose of this course is twofold. The first purpose is to become familiar with concepts and indicators of poverty and inequality, with causes of poverty and inequality, and with pro-poor policies and strategies at different levels: household, local, national and international.
The second purpose is to train skills for quantitative research in the field of poverty and inequality. At the end of the course, the participants can monitor and analyse the development of poverty and inequality in a region, in a country, or in the world.
