Content

The course is intended for students who specialize in corporate finance and want to learn how finance methodology is applied in practice. The contents of the course Applied Corporate Finance is structured in three modules. In the first module we consider the relation between risk and return, in the second module we examine the valuation of projects and acquisitions, while the third module covers practical examples of private equity investment, acquisitions, and initial public offerings. Lectures by guest speakers will be an integral part of the course and provide an opportunity to become better acquainted with corporate finance in practice. The course will be given in close cooperation with people and organizations that are active in corporate finance, such as private equity investors, investment banks, and consultants. This course provides the fundamentals for the intensified course A2347 - Weco. Private equity and venture capital (werkcollege finbel).
